Clobetasol is a steroid. It works by blocking the production of certain chemical messengers that make the skin red, swollen, and itchy.
Skin atrophy, Telangiectasia, Skin irritation, Dry skin
Nyclobate 0.05% Scalp Application is used in the treatment of allergic skin conditions.
Clobetasol Propionate is a very potent topical corticosteroid with anti-inflammatory, antipruritic, and vasoconstrictive properties. It demonstrates anti-inflammatory effects through multiple mechanisms, including inhibiting late-phase allergic reactions, decreasing mast cell density, chemotaxis, and activation of eosinophils, reducing cytokine production, and inhibiting the metabolism of arachidonic acid.
Apply once or twice daily to the affected areas of the scalp, gently rubbing in. Do not exceed 50 ml per week. Discontinue if no response is noted after one week or once the lesion heals. Use for brief periods only.
Use medication as per the doctor's advice.
Before using Nyclobate 0.05% Scalp Application, inform your doctor if you are taking, have taken, or might take any other medicine, including prescription, non-prescription or any herbal medicine.
Not recommended for rosacea, acne vulgaris, perioral dermatitis, primary cutaneous viral infections, hypersensitivity to the preparation, fungal or bacterial skin infections, perianal and genital pruritus, and dermatoses in children under one year of age.
Limited data on use in pregnant women. Topical corticosteroids can cause fetal abnormalities in animals. Use during pregnancy and lactation only if the benefit outweighs the risk. It is unknown if the drug is excreted in human milk; therefore, use caution when administering it to nursing women.
Avoid long-term continuous therapy, especially in infants and children, due to the risk of adrenal suppression. Avoid using it on the face for prolonged periods to prevent atrophic changes. Use with care near the eyes. In psoriasis, monitor patients carefully due to the risk of rebound relapses and systemic toxicity. Ensure proper antimicrobial therapy for infected lesions, and discontinue corticosteroid use if infection spreads.
Store below 30°C, protected from light and moisture. Do not freeze. Keep out of reach of children.
